Pear of Anguish

Boris van Galvin

For those who do not know what one is:
The Pear of Anguish was used during the Middle Ages as a way to torture women who conducted a miscarriage, liars, blasphemers and homosexuals. A pear-shaped instrument was inserted into one of the victim’s orifices: the vagina for women, the anus for homosexuals and the mouth for liars and blasphemers.

This version has a Left and Right handed screw that pulls the center downward forcing the leaves to expand outwards.
The rollers and joints can be pinned wither with filament as I did or if you want a bit more strength thin brass rod.
An O Ring or rubber band should be added to the base of the leaves near the joint to keep it in the close position or as an alternative just use it with a condom over it and that should work prety well and makes cleaning it a little easier.

Dimensions:
The leaves were printed at 0.2 with a 25% infill and 4 layers
All other components were printed a 0.1 with a 25% infill and 4 layers.
When closed the Pear is 124mm tall and 40mm wide
Fully expanded it will come out about 85mm wide
